    Squadron 310 is based out of Scottsdale Airport, and we meet every Monday from 1830 to 2030.

Civil Air Patrol

  1. What is Civil Air Patrol?

    Civil Air Patrol is a private, benevolent, non-profit organization that was

    created just a week before the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941.

    CAP is the United States Air Force Auxiliary. It has three main missions:

    Emergency Services, Cadet Programs, and Aerospace Education.

  2. What will I learn in Civil Air Patrol?

    A cadet will learn followership, drill, uniform wear, and the beginnings of aviation in the first phase of Civil Air Patrol.  In the second phase, a cadet will learn to become a leader.  In the third phase, a cadet will exercise that knowledge and be given greater responsibilities.  In the fourth and final phase, a cadet be given a high commanding position in the squadron and will have enormous responsibility.  A cadet of Civil Air Patrol for no matter how long will become a smarter, and more respectful person.

  3. Is there an oath I take by joining Civil Air Patrol? If so, what is it?

    Yes, there is an oath for Civil Air Patrol.  It is the following:

    I pledge to serve faithfully in the Civil Air Patrol cadet program, and that I will attend meetings regularly, participate in unit activities, obey my officers, wear my uniform properly, and advance my education and training rapidly to be of serve to my community, state, and nation.

  4. If I join Civil Air Patrol, do I have to join the military?

    No, there is absolutely no military obligation. You are also not required to show up for every meeting, or attend every function, although we love to see you doing as much as possible.

  6. How do I get my blues uniform?

    Upon successful achievement of the the Curry Award (the first cadet achievement), National Headquarters will send the cadet a voucher for $100 at Vanguard Military Store (online) to be put towards the blues uniform.

  7. Where can I find the requirements for my promotion?

    This website has every requirement for the cadet to promote through the ranks, from Curry up to Spaatz.
